TERMS OF USE

Clear rules for using Pathcraft

These terms explain the rules for accounts, learning content, tutoring, simulations, payments and responsible use.

Effective date: 30 September 2026

1. The service

Pathcraft provides digital learning, quizzes, AI-assisted explanations, financial-literacy simulations, life-simulation games, guardian tools, teacher or tutor discovery and institution-oriented features. Features may be added, changed, piloted or withdrawn as the platform develops.

2. Accounts and truthful information

You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and use only accounts you are authorised to use. Do not attempt to access another learner, family, teacher, institution or tenant’s information.

3. Learners under 18

Protected features for learners under 18 may require a parent or guardian relationship and approval. Adults must not use tutoring, messaging or family features to bypass safeguarding controls. Pathcraft may restrict or suspend accounts where child safety, privacy or platform security is at risk.

4. Educational and financial-learning disclaimer

Pathcraft is an educational platform. AI explanations, quizzes and simulations are learning tools and may contain mistakes. Money Game and Learn & Invest scenarios are simulations and do not constitute financial, investment, credit, tax or legal advice. Users remain responsible for real-world decisions and should consult an appropriately qualified professional where needed.

5. Tutors and third parties

Where Pathcraft helps users discover or connect with teachers, tutors or lecturers, their qualifications, availability, prices and services may be provided by those persons or organisations. Any fee must be shown or agreed before a paid booking. Pathcraft may apply verification, moderation and safeguarding controls but does not guarantee a particular learning outcome.

6. Content and intellectual property

Pathcraft software, branding, original learning structures and platform content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You retain rights you already have in material you upload. By uploading material, you give Pathcraft the limited permission needed to store, process and display it to you and authorised users for the service you requested. Do not upload copyrighted or confidential material without permission.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Pathcraft to harass, exploit or impersonate others; cheat or facilitate academic dishonesty; upload malware; probe or bypass security; scrape private information; automate abusive traffic; infringe intellectual property; or use AI features to obtain or expose another person’s private data.

8. Pricing, purchases and refunds

The current pricing model is published on the Pricing page. Any charge, renewal, teacher fee or institution fee must be disclosed before payment. Where South African consumer or electronic-transaction law gives you a cancellation, refund or other right, these terms do not remove that right. If no paid checkout is offered, using a free or pilot feature does not create a recurring subscription.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Pathcraft available and secure, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Planned maintenance, security incidents, supplier outages, curriculum updates or experimental features may affect availability.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pathcraft is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising only from reliance on educational, simulated or AI-generated content. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Account deletion

Where account creation is available, users may request deletion subject to identity, guardian-authority, legal, security and retention requirements. See Account deletion.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to mandatory consumer and privacy protections that may apply.
